Biscuit Baking Mix Recipes – Quick Crepes Recipe

Ingredients:

2 tsps vanilla
4 c biscuit bake mix
4 Tbsps sugar
1/4 c sourcream
1 c creamcheese
8 large eggs
3 c milk

Instructions:

Create crepes by following package instructions of bake mix.

Quick made crepes; You combine 2 c bake mix, 1 & 1/2 c milk and 4 large eggs, beating ’til smoothened in processor ’til mixture thickens.

Pour 1/4 c batter onto every crepe in hot pan. You turn pan ’til batter will cover its bottom then cook it over mid-heat ’til golden-brown. Looses its edges w/ spatula then turn it over & cook opposite side ’til golden-brown.

Pikelets (Bakestone Recipes) Recipe


Pikelets (Bakestone Recipes) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 beaten egg
5 fluid ounces of warmed milk
1 tsp butter
8 ounces of flour (plain)
5 fluid ounces of warmed water
1 tsp sugar
1/2 ounces of yeast (fresh)
1 tsp of salt

Instructions:

Sift salt & flour into warmed bowl. Have yeast dissolved in warmed water & sugar. Have butter melted in warmed milk then beat into egg. You stir yeast-liquid then add milk-mixtue onto flour.

Stir well ’til batter gets smoothened, beating well. Have it covered then leave it in warm corner about 1 & 1/2 hrs ’til batter bubbles & thickens.

Have it warmed in bake-stone then grease w/ lard. Stir batter & then laddle mixture onto bake-stone in rounded puddles, leaves spaces in between. Cook them over mid-heat ’til bubbly & light gold in color.

You flip pikelets then cook opposite side. Best when served with honey & butter.

Southern Biscuit Muffins Recipe


Southern Biscuit Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 c milk (cold)
1/4 pound butter (unsalted); plus 2 Tbsps
1/4 tsp salt
1 & 1/2 Tbsps baking-powder
1/4 c sugar
2 & 1/2 c flour (all-purpose)

Instructions:

Combine salt, baking-powder, sugar & flour, break lumps. Cut in butter manually ’til mixture becomes a coarse corn meal. Stir milk in gradually. Mix ’til dry components have been moistened.

You spoon batter onto 12 oiled muffin tins then bake them for 35-40 mins at three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit.

Calzone Recipe


Calzone Recipe

Ingredients:

Grated cheese (Parmesan)
1 large egg
10 ounces refrigerated dough for pizza
Filling of choice

Instructions:

Unroll the dough then stretch it into 15×10-inch rectangle. You cut this into six 5-inch squares. You divide chosen filling amongst the squares. You brush its edges w/ water.

You lift a corner then stretch this dough slowly over other corner. You press dough’s edges well to tightly seal. You arrange them on buttered bake sheet. You prick its tops w/ fork.

You combine 1 Tbsp water & egg then brush this into calznes then sprinkle w/ cheese as necessary. Bake for 8 to 10 mins at 425 degrees F then stand about five mins prior to serving.

Potato Cakes (Bakestone Recipes) Recipe


Potato Cakes (Bakestone Recipes) Recipe

Ingredients:

Butter
4 Tbsps self rising flour
2 ounces softened butter
1 tsp salt
1 pound cooked potatoes

Instructions:

Have butter melted then add potatoes. Boil potatoes in salted water then drain them well. Return into low-heat then cover w/ dishcloth. Dry them for 5 to 10 mins.

Sieve into bowl w/ salt then beat butter in, adding enough flour to create a softened dough. You turn dough into floured working board then pat it out into 3/4inch thick. You cut this into even rounds w/ cutter.

Have them placed in greased bake-stone then cook them over mid-heat ’til golden-brown. Turn then cook opposite side. You remove them from your bake-stone, split then generously spread w/ butter then close.

Oatcakes (Bakestone Recipes) Recipe


Oatcakes (Bakestone Recipes) Recipe

Ingredients:

2 fluid ounces boiled water
2 Tbsps melted fat of bacon
A pinch of soda bicarbonate
1/2 tsp salt
4 ounces oatmeal; grinded

Instructions:

Mix soda, salt & oatmeal in bowl. Create small well at center then pour fat, adding water in order to create a stiffened dough. You sprinkle board w/ oatmeal then coat your clean hands w/ it as well.

You knead mixture ’til smooth. You flatten ball then roll out onto 1/4-inch thick round. Have plate inverted over then trim uneven edges off. You cut it into even quarters then place in warmed & greased bake-stone.

Cook them over mid-heat about 20 mins ’til triangles will curl over its corners. You turn then cook opposite side for additional 5 mins.

Keep them in tightly covered containers then cook them over grill just before you serve.
